female empowerment issue

Strand magazine is a London based urban arts and culture magazine. I was lucky to feature in the April 2020 'female empowerment' issue via an interview about my practice in relation to feminist activism. The deputy editor of the magazine, Ketki Mahabaleshwarkar, asked me about the feminist narratives within my 'Build a Bitch' work and the importance of collective exhibition. The article is presented as a double page spread in the magazine which is available in print and online.
The interview was also published as a stand-alone article on the Strand magazine website called 'Art, Activism, and the Age of Inclusivity'.
Both the magazine and article were written by Ketki Mahabaleshwarkar.

The X Collab is an art collective with an aim to provide space for multi-institutional and multidisciplinary collaboration through publications and exhibitions. In their 2021 publication, 'Blue', I created two pages in collaboration with artist Meraki Vagary which were also featured in an exhibition.

'BAD TASTE'
2019
'BAD TASTE' is a zine I created in college. In 2019 I began with issue one: 'Metaphysical Reality'. I named it this because of the philosophical introspective theme which ran throughout the issue. It is an extremely personal project to me because I used the zine as a visual diary to document my thoughts about life at the time I was creating it. However to the viewer these thoughts may appear more abstract. The zine consists of a range of original drawings, poems, articles, photographs and paintings which I put together using scanners, printers and photoshop to create a 36 page mini magazine. I then put each zine together by hand meaning every one of them is unique.
During 2019 I sold this publication via my social media platforms.
