'Epic Lesbian Breakdown': Avionics Foyer, Kingston
Mar 2022

'Epic Lesbian Breakdown'  was my first ever solo exhibition. As the name suggests, this exhibition explored the concept of a breakdown from a playful tongue and cheek angle through painting, collage, poems and an installation. I used this exhibition as an opportunity to delve into my own subconscious whilst also exploring themes of queer female desire and nostalgia in a light-hearted and auto-biographical way.

'AMONGST 1 AND 0': Avionics Gallery Space Kingston
Mar 2020

I exhibited my installation ‘Build a Bitch 1.003’ as part of the exhibition ‘Amongst 1 & 0’, curated by Rosie Robson, featuring artists from art schools across London. The exhibition discussed our human relationships with screens and technology: our interactions, dependence and behaviour.

We transformed the 'Art Gym' in Avionics Building, Kingston, into an immersive space filled with lights and interactive artworks. My installation was at the entrance of the building. I encouraged viewers to touch and interact with it as part of an ongoing performance surrounding the piece.

'Hit Or Miss' was a group exhibition featuring myself and nine fellow artists from my university course (featured on the poster). We set up, advertised, built and directed the exhibition ourselves which featured experimental pieces and works-in-progress. Due to the array of artists featured we decided against a set theme for the show, instead we used it as an opportunity to present work that we wanted to try out in a public environment and receive audience feedback in a gallery setting. Therefore, we used this exhibition as a research process hence the name: 'Hit Or Miss'.

I exhibited the first version of my installation: 'Build a Bitch 1.001'.

We put on an exhibition with a private view event that featured spoken word poetry, music and artist talks. The theme of the exhibition was feminist activism and female empowerment.

'GRID SHOW': Knights Park Foyer Gallery Space Kingston
Oct 2019

'GRID SHOW' was a group exhibition at Kingston School of Art where work was displayed  in a tight grid format. The grids covered the walls and six table top surfaces. Each artist had two grids to present work within. The show included over 50 pieces of work from artists from the Fine Art course.

The exhibition took place is Knights Park main foyer and so was seen by hundreds of visitors over the week that it remained in situ. We also had a private view evening on the 26th of November.

I exhibited two pieces: a mini installation experiment of my 'Build a Bitch' first document which I had just created at the time and a collage piece named 'Take Control'. Both pictured.

'Fandom' was a group exhibition directed by Anna Choutova and curated by the 'BAD ART' collective alongside multi-media artist Sam Hall. It featured a range of artworks and performances. The show discussed themes such as celebrity obsession, fame and pop cultural fandoms. The exhibition took over Bones & Pearl studio in Tottenham, creating an immersive psychedelic space filled with neon lights and an expansive collage of artworks. Following the private view was an after party featuring live music and performance artworks.

An amalgamation of the tacky, obsessive, neon world of pop culture and celebrity scandal.
